Dongsheng develops columbarium niche systems for semi-outdoor and selected outdoor environments, adapting materials, structure and architectural detailing to the actual conditions of each project.
The objective is to extend the architectural quality of an indoor columbarium into environments where climate, moisture and long-term exposure require a different approach.

Not every columbarium is fully indoors.
Covered walkways, sheltered courtyards, open-sided memorial spaces and other semi-outdoor environments require careful consideration of environmental exposure, materials and long-term maintenance.
Climate & Site Conditions
Local temperature, rainfall, humidity, sun exposure and surrounding construction conditions should be considered when defining the system.
Water & Moisture Management
Protective detailing, raised bases, suitable coverings and surrounding drainage can help reduce direct water exposure and support long-term performance.
Maintenance Access
The system should remain practical for inspection, cleaning and routine maintenance throughout its service life.
METAL STRUCTURE. ARCHITECTURAL STONE FINISH.
Outdoor columbarium design does not always require a fully stone-built structure.
Dongsheng systems can use stainless steel or aluminum alloy as the main structural framework, combined with stone for niche fronts, surrounds, beams, bases and other architectural finishes.
This hybrid approach retains the solid architectural character of stone while reducing unnecessary structural weight. It can also simplify transportation, handling and on-site installation compared with heavily stone-based construction.
Materials and finishes can be configured according to the project environment, architectural style and local requirements.
FROM SHELTERED SPACES TO OUTDOOR APPLICATIONS
Outdoor requirements vary from project to project.
For locations with greater environmental exposure, Dongsheng can adapt niche configuration, materials, protective details and supporting structures according to the site conditions.
Applications may include covered outdoor areas, courtyards, memorial gardens, cemetery spaces and other site-specific environments.
